“In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” is a song by The Allman Brothers Band it was first released on their Idlewild South in 1970. In 1971 the song appeared on The Allman Brothers Band album At Fillmore East and is a more definitive rendition of the song. “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed” was written by Dickey Betts who was inspired by a grave marker in the band’s hometown of Macon, GA.
