Young Gavin O’Brien covering Alice in Chains “Nutshell”

To say Nutshell is our (my) favorite Alice in Chains song is an understatement. The E minor-G-D-C chord progression rips though my soul like a chainsaw through soft pine. For a 14-year-old Gavin O’Brien to play all instrumental parts and sing all the vocals including harmonies is just beyond comprehension. Then to record, mix and add the vocal filter is just amazing.
