Melissa is the third track on side one of the Eat a Peach album by The Allman Brothers Band. Eat a Peach was released on February 12th, 1972. The song Melissa was written by Gregg Allman long before the Allman Brothers Band was founded in 1967. Melissa was the second single released from the Eat a Peach album in August of 1972.
